Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Consultant

Job Summary:

The Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Oracle Cloud ERP financial modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements and translate them into Oracle Cloud Financials configurations to ensure accurate data processing and timely decision-making.

  • Configure and implement modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management to support efficient financial processes.

  • Perform system testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing to ensure seamless functionality and accuracy.

  • Provide functional support for financial processes and Oracle Cloud ERP functionalities to users, addressing queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.

  • Prepare documentation including functional specs, test scripts, and training materials to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.

  • Collaborate with technical teams for reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions (RICE) to ensure comprehensive support and optimization.

  • Support month-end and year-end close activities in Oracle Cloud to meet regulatory requirements and ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues in Oracle Financials to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and applicable laws.

  • Stay updated on Oracle Cloud quarterly releases and new features to leverage the latest innovations and improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems to provide a solid foundation in financial principles and IT systems.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Financials modules to demonstrate expertise and proficiency.

  • Strong knowledge of financial processes and Oracle ERP Cloud configurations to ensure accurate implementation and support.

  • Experience with functional documentation, testing, and user support to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and resolve issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Cloud Financials Certification to showcase advanced knowledge and expertise.

  • Experience with Fusion Reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View) to enhance reporting capabilities and insights.

  • Familiarity with integrations and data migration processes to support seamless data flow and accuracy.

  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls to ensure robust financial governance and risk management.
