Automation Center of Excellence Job Overview

The Automation Center of Excellence - Risk Analyst role offers the opportunity to work across multiple asset classes and geographies, supporting the group's credit and market risk functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily credit and market risk reports to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Produce risk analysis and inputs for management committee packs, providing actionable insights.
  • Review and send out limit breach notifications to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Conduct thorough credit analysis of new and existing clients to inform business decisions.
  • Respond to ad hoc queries on limit utilisation and counterparty requests with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide margin rates and monitor margin levels, escalating issues as needed to mitigate risk.
  • Support colleagues in the absence of risk analysts or market risk leads, demonstrating teamwork and adaptability.
  • Train graduate analysts rotating through the team, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • Assist with ad hoc risk initiatives and projects, contributing to the development of risk management strategies.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong understanding of capital markets fundamentals, including mark-to-market and settlement processes, to drive informed decision-making.
  • Knowledge and experience of equity and fixed income products to provide comprehensive risk analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience writing macros advantageous, to streamline data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of balance sheets and income statements beneficial, to inform risk-based capital allocation.
  • Bachelor's degree (2:1 minimum) in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field, to underpin technical expertise.

Systems exposure: Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, Risk Portal, CRMS, to support efficient risk management practices.
