Architectural Project Manager

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in architectural design and project management. This professional should have a thorough understanding of AutoCAD and the ability to construct clear diagrams.

This individual must be capable of diligently communicating with various stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.

To excel in this role, you should have an in-depth knowledge of all steps related to project completion and be able to conduct quality assurance checks on a frequent basis to guarantee that regulations are being followed.

• Design Development: Analysing architectural designs and plans to ensure they meet industry standards and government regulations
• Project Coordination: Researching and inquiring about different materials, supervising Junior Architects and assigning tasks, scheduling and delivering at skill enhancement workshops
• Client Communication: Explaining design requirements and specifications to Builders, Electricians, and Technicians, communicating project status and completion timelines to clients
• Document Control: Preparing building models and structure plans, conducting mockup sessions, guiding the construction project from start to finish, presenting project briefs to clients
• Project Management: Understanding the clients' requirements/preferences and environmental impacts on the construction project, developing projects by adhering to specified budget and timeline, undertaking regular site visits and inspections
• Technical Expertise: Developing and interpreting a range of structural designs, acting as mentors, managers, and advisors, controlling projects from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design, demonstrating creativity, foresight, and architectural judgment in developing architectural solutions
• Software Proficiency: Producing construction documents using REVIT, understanding construction assemblies and best practices, actively coordinating design and equipment with consultants and other disciplines
• Research and Compliance: Researching and selecting building products, composing written specifications, participating in project meetings and documenting discussions through meeting minutes, actively participating in quality assurance/quality control review sessions at project milestones
• Submission and Administration: Compiling all documentation required to submit projects to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for review and approval, tracking submissions and responding to comments and requests from AHJs as required to obtain permits, managing project through Construction Administration phase by routing RFIs and shop drawings to the appropriate team member, responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, issuing ASIs and RFPs, and reviewing pay applications
• Site Visits and Field Work: Travelling to and visiting project construction sites to observe construction progress and composing field reports, continually learning and staying informed of new systems, methods, and sustainable practices to benefit the collective team and clients
• Team Collaboration: Actively supporting strategic goals of the firm, studio, department, and manager, as well as understanding how your actions contribute to them, self-motivated; ability to work independently and in a team environment to coordinate and maintain positive working relationships with other design professionals
• Problem Solving and Adaptability: Excellent problem solver and independent thinker with good listening skills and strong follow-through, excellent graphic, communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
