About the Role:

We are seeking an Automation Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.

Your primary goal will be to ensure that our software applications meet the required standards of quality, functionality, and performance.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and other QA engineers to identify and prioritize testing efforts, develop test plans, and execute automated tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain in-sprint automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.
  • Align test scripts with acceptance criteria and user stories.
  • Execute automated tests, log defects with detailed reproduction steps, and support defect triage.
  • Create and manage test data and environment configurations for automation.
  • Identify and maintain reusable scripts for system-level and regression testing.
  • Contribute to the automation regression suite and maintain automation assets.
  • Collaborate with developers and senior QA engineers to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Follow automation best practices and participate in peer reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
  • Support manual testing efforts when required, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Track and report QA metrics such as defect rates, test coverage, and productivity.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1–3 years of experience in functional and automation testing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Guidewire policy center projects.
  • Hands-on experience with type-script automation tools such as Playwright or JavaScript based frameworks such as Cypress/ Selenium.
  • Hands on experience in Programming based Test Automation toolset and should be part of Test Design for minimum of 2 Years.
  • Hands on Experience in working with Git Repository.
  • Independently handle Test Code issue resolution, updates & Debugging.
  • Exposure to QA lifecycle tools such as JIRA, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of defect lifecycle management and test standards.
  • Experience in test effort estimation and metrics reporting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge on CI / CD
  • Knowledge of API & API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.

PREFERRED SKILLS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Exposure to unit testing and mobile testing.
  • Experience in improving test coverage and test strategy.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools & CI/CD tools should be good.
