Technical Draftsperson

This role is responsible for creating precise drawings, generating area statements and extracting quantities that feed directly into cost plans, budgets and value engineering exercises.

• Prepare accurate technical drawings and drafts for projects.
• Conduct detailed area calculations to validate design data and layouts ensuring compliance with industry norms.
• Extract BOQ quantities and review tender BOQs with the cost manager.
• Provide accurate input for estimates, cost plans and budgeting exercises.
• Maintain organized records, version control and digital documentation for design and cost documents.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and MS Office; basic Revit knowledge.
• Strong understanding of building drawings, detailing and construction practices.
• Knowledge of IS codes for area calculations and cost-related drawing outputs.
• Quick learner, team player, proactive and dependable with strong time management skills.
• Exposure to residential, commercial, redevelopment and other project types.

• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering or Architectural Draftsmanship.
• Minimum 8-15 years of experience in drafting, preferably in construction or real estate with exposure to costing functions.
