About the Role

At Persistent Systems, we are seeking a highly skilled backend developer to join our team. In this role, you will design and implement robust .NET applications and APIs while leveraging AI development tools to enhance productivity.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable .NET applications using C# and .NET frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for performance and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications.
  • Ensure application security and data protection through best practices.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Stay updated with the latest .NET technologies and development trends.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on .NET technologies.
  • Proven experience in developing enterprise-level applications using .NET Core and .NET Framework.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is preferred.
  • Languages & Frameworks: C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, Web API
  • Database: SQL Server, Entity Framework, LINQ
  • Tools & Platforms: Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins
  • Testing: NUnit, xUnit, Moq
  • Cloud & DevOps: Azure/AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
  • Other Skills: RESTful services, microservices architecture, performance tuning, security best practices
