Job Description

Our team is seeking an experienced Airport Infrastructure Design Engineer to design and manage the development of airfield and landside infrastructure projects. This includes designing runways, taxiways, aprons, stands, roads, and parking facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geometric design, grading, earthworks, signing & marking, simulation, and BIM integration. They should be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AviPLAN, BIM (Navisworks), and AutoTURN.

Airport Infrastructure Design Engineers work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative planning, design, management, and consultancy services for significant projects worldwide.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Engineering:
  • Develop detailed geometric designs for airside infrastructure.
  • Prepare grading plans, cut-and-fill calculations, and earthworks balance for airside and landside areas.
  • Produce design drawings and BoQs from BIM models.
  • Design airfield and landside signing & marking layouts in accordance with ICAO/FAA/local standards.
  • Support stand and gate design optimization for safe aircraft operations.
  • Simulation & Modeling:
  • Use AviPLAN for aircraft movement simulation and apron/stand clearance checks.
  • Conduct GSE simulations to optimize apron operations and gate service layouts.
  • Apply BIM tools for 3D coordination, clash detection, and multi-discipline integration.
  • Codes, Standards & Compliance:
  • Apply international aviation and road design standards directly in the design process.
  • Ensure compliance with safety areas, separation distances, obstacle clearance, and marking/signing requirements.
  Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering is required. Specialized training in airport/transportation design software is an asset.

At least 4 years of experience in airport or transportation infrastructure design is necessary. A proven track record in geometric design of airside and landside infrastructure is also required.

Strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills are essential for this role. Proficiency in industry-standard software is also necessary.
