Automotive Software Architect Position">

Overview:

  • As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and architecting software frameworks for automotive System-on-Chip (SoC) systems, balancing performance, power efficiency, and safety-critical requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software architecture with hardware design and automotive standards.
  2. Lead the design and development of software components and modules for automotive SoC platforms.
  3. Implement software solutions in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262.
  4. Optimize software performance for real-time constraints and resource efficiency.
  5. Conduct performance analysis and propose enhancements to meet automotive industry standards.
  6. Support Intellectual Property activities and generate Invention Disclosure Memos to facilitate patent applications.
  7. Contribute to design reviews across algorithm teams.
  8. Consider next-generation algorithms and new business opportunities.
  9. Develop algorithms with a view to implementing on embedded DSP platforms.
  10. Represent the company at various Industry Working Groups and conferences.
  11. Support the design and implementation of in-company training sessions in your area of expertise.
  12. Develop and maintain relationships with university counterparts.
  13. Strive to improve competencies in automotive vision-based Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), computer vision, and C++.
  14. Identify inefficiencies and suggest/implement improvements within current processes used in algorithm and development.
  15. Perform state-of-the-art research into deep learning and computer vision approaches and methodologies.
  16. Creation of initial high-level module and sub-module architecture at project kick-off, as well as pre-dev projects.
  17. Provide expertise to algorithm and embedded leads in the design of all CV/DL functions.
  18. Research, develop, benchmark, test, and document state-of-the-art computer vision and image processing algorithms for autonomous driving applications.
  19. Perform research into new vision technology, ideas, and approaches.
  20. Ensure software architecture meets safety and security standards relevant to automotive systems.
  21. Collaborate with safety engineers to conduct risk assessments and develop safety-critical software components.

Requirements:

  • Strong C and C++ programming skills or strong rapid prototyping skills in Enterprise Architect for modeling.
  • Experience in DOORS.
  • Good understanding of fundamental computer vision algorithms and approaches.
  • Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of innovation and motivation.
  • Excellent research experience.
  • Experience with automotive software standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and familiarity with communication protocols like CAN and Ethernet.
  • Experience in QNX/Safertos and freeRTOS.
