Job Title: Software Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled software infrastructure engineer to design, build, and maintain our cloud-based systems. Our platform is a leading sports media outlet that delivers engaging stories to fans worldwide.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for owning and optimizing our AWS infrastructure, engineering the backend of our Next.js/Vercel platform, and driving web performance optimization. This includes:

  • Owning and optimizing AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Lambda, Kinesis) for resilience, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Engineering the backend (Node.js, Python) that powers our Next.js/Vercel platform—prioritizing speed and reliability.
  • Driving web performance optimization—debugging bottlenecks, fine-tuning APIs, managing caching/CDN, and delivering consistently fast experiences worldwide.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced AWS skills with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CDK) and proven cost optimization at scale.
  • Experience running high-traffic platforms with real-world debugging and performance tuning.
  • Strong backend expertise: Node.js, Python, modern database systems.
