Job Opportunity: UI/UX Designer

We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to lead the design of a mobile application. This role is responsible for creating engaging and user-friendly interfaces that meet the needs of our customers.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing end-to-end solutions, including onboarding, lifestyle questionnaires, personalized meal plans, ingredient carts, dashboards, notifications, and settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design a seamless user experience for our mobile application, from initial onboarding to daily usage.
  • Develop production-ready UI components using Figma, including auto-layout, constraints, components, variants, tokens, motion specs, empty states, error states, and accessibility annotations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure effective handoff and implementation of designed interactions.
  • Conduct usability research, create prototypes, and iterate with product teams to optimize user flow and engagement.
  • Utilize AI-generated content tools, such as Runway and Midjourney, to create short explanatory videos and social media assets.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Figma, with proficiency in auto-layout, constraints, components, variants, design tokens, libraries, and prototyping.
  • Deep understanding of mobile patterns, with familiarity with iOS and Android Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) and Material 3 design principles.
  • Strong interaction design skills, including micro-interactions, motion principles, states, edge-cases, and empty-state strategies.
  • Information architecture & flows expertise, including complex form design, data-dense dashboards, and progressive disclosure.
  • Accessibility knowledge, with focus on color contrast, hit-targets, focus order, Dynamic Type, voice/assistive support, and WCAG awareness.
  • Usability practice skills, including test plan creation, lightweight testing, insight synthesis, and quick iteration.
  • Effective handoff quality, including redlines/specs, motion notes, and dev-ready assets.
  • Hands-on experience with modern tools, including Runway, Pika, Stable Diffusion/ComfyUI, Midjourney/DALL·E, Adobe After Effects/Premiere, DaVinci/CapCut, and other creative software.
  • Prompt craft expertise, including storyboarding prompts, seeds, negative prompts, in/out-painting, control nets/pose, camera moves, and iterating to brand look.
  • Explainer pipeline skills, including generation, upscale/denoise, editing, captions/overlays, and final exports for app and social media.
  • Brand discipline, with knowledge of color, typography overlays, logo safety, tone, and content safety/IP hygiene.
  • Audio basics, including VO timing, music/SFX fit, and loudness standards.

Portfolio Requirements:

  • 2 mobile app case studies showing end-to-end thinking: problem → flows → UI → prototypes → outcomes/metrics.
  • 1 short AI-generated video explaining a product feature, including prompt notes or a brief process write-up.
