Job Description

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • The timely rollout and implementation of projects, ensuring alignment with project plans.
  • Track and ensure quality delivery of detailed implementation plans (DIPs).
  • Collaborate with program lead and coordinator and internal teams to secure necessary support for project execution.
  • Encourage and incorporate innovative approaches in project activities.
  • Address operational challenges promptly in coordination with the program coordinator and Program Lead.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and ensure goals are met.
  • Foster community involvement and ownership of project activities for long-term sustainability.
  • Align project activities with community aspirations and leverage their strengths to enhance ownership.
  • Maintain transparency and accountability in all project activities to benefit the target population.
Project Execution and Management

This role involves 70% project execution and management responsibilities. These include project planning, implementation, and monitoring. The successful candidate will be able to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and ensure effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement project plans that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Develop Partnerships and Advocacy

This role involves 30% develop partnerships and advocacy responsibilities. These include building relationships with stakeholders, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and advocating for the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at community, ward, and district levels.
  • Identify opportunities to collaborate with stakeholders and partners.
  • Develop and implement effective advocacy strategies to promote the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, committees, and advocacy forums.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate in Social Work/ Rural Development/ Rural Management/ Social Sciences/Any degree with NGO experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in program implementation in the social sector.
  • Good understanding of social and environmental concepts and methods.
  • Fluency in English, Tamil and Hindi languages.
