Position Overview:
The ideal candidate for this RCM Team Leader role will oversee daily operations, ensuring accurate and efficient revenue cycle processes. This requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of RCM specialists, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Process Oversight: Manage the end-to-end revenue cycle process, including billing, coding, accounts receivable, and denial management.
- Performance Monitoring: Track team performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any issues, concerns, or inquiries related to revenue cycle processes.
- Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with relevant regulations and standards, including HIPAA, ICD-10, and payer-specific guidelines.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, revenue trends, and process improvements to senior management.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges in the revenue cycle process, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in revenue cycle management, at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in RCM software, electronic health records (EHR), and medical billing systems.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare billing for laboratories and/or physicians, coding, and reimbursement processes, including knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
