Job Opportunity: Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a skilled software engineer with expertise in Functional Programming, Microservices architecture, and Cloud deployment patterns to drive innovation and growth within our high-performing team.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable microservices using modern Java functional programming concepts, collaborating on event-driven systems using Kafka and applying architectural patterns like Choreography, Strangler, and Sidecar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust microservices using modern Java functional programming concepts.
  • Collaborate on event-driven systems using Kafka and apply architectural patterns to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster a culture of excellence.
  • Develop and deploy applications in cloud environments using services like Cloud Run and GKE.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with emphasis on readability and performance.
  • Contribute to the adoption of modern Java features, including Pattern Matching and Records, to enhance development efficiency.

Technical Requirements:

  • Demonstrate deep understanding of Java Streams, Functional Interfaces, Lambda expressions, and reduce operations.
  • Show experience with newer Java features (Java 17+).
  • Exhibit proficiency in immutable data structures, pure functions, and clean code principles to ensure code quality.

Cloud & DevOps:

  • Possess hands-on experience deploying applications in cloud environments (GCP or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with cloud-native development, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD best practices is essential.
