Job Overview

The primary role of this position is to develop and implement design strategies that meet the organization's objectives. This involves creating a visually appealing portfolio of designs that align with industry trends and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and build effective design team workflows to ensure all designs are delivered in line with style guides, design language, and quality standards.
  2. Develop and track the departmental fashion calendar for the season, ensuring timely delivery of designs.
  3. Conduct market research and forecast evolving fashion trends, incorporating insights into design solutions.
  4. Stay up-to-date with market changes and developments, identifying opportunities to enhance the organization's offerings.
  5. Perform daily organizational tasks such as styling, embroidery development, and sample creation.
  6. Organize styling materials and resources for sampling.
  7. Conceptualize, create, and deliver strong design solutions, presenting ideas effectively through presentations.
  8. Collaborate with Design Merchant teams to drive design excellence.
People Management Responsibilities
  • C Coordinate with Sampling, Pattern & Khaka's masters and Embroiders.
  • Coach and provide technical guidance to other designers on the team.
Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Design from a recognized institution (NIFT/NID/Pearl Academy etc).
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Excel, and Corel Draw.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in design.
  • Understanding of Indian ethnic wear design sensibilities – Fabric and Styling.
  • Proven track record of designing an eye-catching Apparel portfolio with a design team.
