Job Overview

A data science professional is responsible for collecting, analysing and interpreting large data sets to extract valuable insights that inform business decisions and improve operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data scientists use statistical methods to collect and organize complex data sets.
  • Develop innovative solutions to problems encountered in data collection, cleaning and statistical modelling.
  • Gather and prepare data from multiple sources for analysis.
  • Analyse large volumes of structured and unstructured data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Design and implement machine learning models and predictive algorithms to solve complex business problems.
  • Validate findings using statistical techniques and ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate results through clear and engaging visualisations and reports.
  • Collaborate with different teams to apply data-driven insights and drive business growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, information systems or a related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in a senior data analyst or business analyst role.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java and R programming languages.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS and GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and model development.
  • Containerisation skills using Docker.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
