Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with 10-12 years of expertise in accounting and financial diligence, preferably within the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) industry.

eské is a fast-growing D2C brand that requires a skilled Senior Accountant to manage its financial health, ensure compliance, optimize processes, and provide strategic financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management & Reporting:
    • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and present insights to senior management.
    • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Diligence & Compliance:
    • Lead financial due diligence processes for partnerships, investments, or acquisitions.
    • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and tax regulations.
    • Coordinate with external auditors during statutory audits and tax assessments.
  • D2C-Specific Accounting:
    • Monitor and record transactions from online sales platforms, including payments, returns, claims, and sales tax compliance.
    • Analyze sales data to evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness and optimize margins.
    • Collaborate with logistics teams to manage inventory costs related to warehousing, packaging, and shipping.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Develop and implement robust accounting systems and internal controls tailored to the D2C business model.
    • Identify inefficiencies in financial operations and recommend improvements.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Mentor junior accountants and finance team members to ensure professional growth.
    • Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining accountability for deliverables.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA/CPA certification preferred.
  • 10-12 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 5 years in a senior role within the D2C or e-commerce industry.
  • Proven expertise in conducting financial due diligence for partnerships or acquisitions.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management across departments.

Requirements:
  • 10-12 years of experience in senior accounting/finance roles, preferably in a high-growth D2C or e-commerce brand.
  • Strong expertise in financial due diligence, investor reporting, and fundraising processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax), and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in managing audits, internal controls, and risk assessments.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Leadership experience in managing and mentoring finance teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP and accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, or SAP.
  • CA/CPA/MBA (Finance) preferred.
