Job Overview:

We are seeking a finance professional to lead key functions including financial reporting, MIS, compliance, audit, taxation, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in finance and accounting, ensuring rigorous compliance while providing insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and finalize the monthly book closure along with Financials and Schedule preparations as per USGAAP and IGAAP standards
  • Drive internal audits and statutory audits at defined intervals, ensuring timely closure and maintaining compliance
  • Support the definition of KPIs and track measurements to meet requirements
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including accrual handling, cost accounting checks, cost allocations, etc.
  • Analyze data, work out key messages, and recommend action items to the management team
  • Maintain transparency and ensure compliance with financial guidelines
  • Oversight of the Fixed Asset Register, responsible for capitalization, deletion, depreciation, and retirement of tangible and intangible assets
  • Compare monthly/quarterly MIS data with benchmarks, provide comments, and remarks with proper analysis
  • Validate accuracy of financial data and business information by performing reconciliation, review, and report exceptions
  • Adhere to Controlling & Planning KPIs to ensure continuous improvement and maintain service quality
  • Publish weekly/monthly performance analysis and business dashboards with detailed variance analysis vs forecast/plan for the business and operations
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support

Strategic Objectives:

  • Formalize SOPs for various accounting processes (operations and control processes) along with necessary accounting treatments
  • Prepare RCM across processes at system and manual levels, drive ICFR control process reviews with the internal audit team, and recommend system/process changes
  • Lead key programs with tech development for finance requirements related to reporting and operations
  • Sponsor transformation/change initiatives in respective units to achieve financial targets
  • Cross-unit activities, projects, and special tasks in cooperation within the team and with stakeholders outside the team
  • Process efficiencies and automation initiatives to enhance operational excellence
  • Process setup and implementation by coordinating with multiple teams
  • Treasury function streamlining, cash flow management controls, and adherence to banking/RBI guidelines
  • Participate and drive standardization automation projects for process efficiency
  • Productivity improvement and cost reduction initiatives with Business and Operations
  • Ensure process controls through right data representation and logic, aligning relevant stakeholders
  • Own P&L for new business, lead annual operating plans, forecasting, variance analysis, and provide insights to leadership on business profitability and sustainability

Qualifications:

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4–7 years of relevant experience, exposure to financial reporting, compliance, audit, and taxation, solid understanding of Indian accounting standards and applicable tax regulations, excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management, proactive approach with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
