The Worldwide Returns, ReCommerce & Sustainability team at Amazon.com is on a mission to eliminate defects that cause returns, deliver zero cost of returns for Amazon, send zero product waste to landfill, and deliver on Amazon's commitment to deliver on the Climate Pledge (Net Zero Carbon).

We do this by developing groundbreaking products and driving unparalleled operational excellence to help customers keep what they buy, recover returned and damaged product value, keep thousands of tons of waste from landfills, and create the best customer returns experience in the world.

Your Role:
As a software engineer on our team, you will play a critical role in developing tools and automation to achieve human-free operations. You will troubleshoot, debug, evaluate, and resolve computer-identified alarms, perform software deployments and migrations, host management, and automate routine operational tasks.

You will work closely with our team of engineers, data scientists, and program managers to develop innovative solutions that drive business results. You will use your expertise in application support, software development, and DevOps to design, build, and deploy scalable and reliable systems.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Compensation:
This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to salary, you will receive comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
