Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join our team. As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices. They will also have experience in automation testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Cucumber.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate automation tools and frameworks.
  • Execute automated test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of software applications.
  • Identify and report defects using bug tracking tools, providing detailed information and steps to reproduce.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that changes or updates do not introduce new issues.
  • Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing clear and concise information about test results and defects.
  • Continuously enhance and optimize automated test suites to improve efficiency and coverage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (CS, IT, ETC) or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Applications (MCA).
  • Proven experience of 4+ years as an Automation Tester or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in automation testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Cucumber.
  • Experience in designing and developing automation test scripts using scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, or JavaScript).
  • Solid understanding of test automation frameworks and their implementation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills to effectively communicate test results and issues to the development team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
