The candidate should have a strong technical background preferably in Computer Science/IT and proven expertise in drafting patent applications and preparing office action responses across major jurisdictions including the US Europe and India.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Patent drafting and prosecution
- Draft high-quality patent applications in US EP and India.
- Prepare and review responses to office actions from the USPTO EPO and Indian Patent Office.
- Ensure all work meets jurisdiction-specific legal and technical requirements.
- Project management
- Manage and guide a team of professionals on drafting and prosecution assignments.
- Review drafts prepared by team members providing detailed feedback to improve quality.
- Oversee project timelines workload distribution and delivery commitments.
- Client engagement
- Collaborate with inventors in-house counsel and R&D teams to capture technical inventions.
- Provide strategic advice on patentability prosecution and portfolio development.
- Maintain strong client communication and ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications and skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering (preferred).
- Law degree (desirable).
- Patent agent qualification (must).
