Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our high-frequency trading desk as a C++ developer. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in coding and optimizing high-frequency trading strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and generate profit.

Responsibilities

1. Coding: Design high-performance and low-latency algorithms and trading systems using C++ for high-frequency trading.
2. Optimization: Continuously refine and optimize trading algorithms to enhance performance, reduce latency, and minimize trading costs. Employ statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to identify patterns and improve trading strategies.
3. Risk Management: Work closely with risk management professionals to quantify and mitigate risks associated with high-frequency trading activities. Implement risk controls and monitoring systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Collaboration: Follow standard software development practices in an agile environment, document the flow of code and communicate effectively with stakeholders to explain code rationale and performance. Stay abreast of industry developments and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
5. Strategy Development: Collaborate with the research team to conceptualize, develop, and test high-frequency trading strategies across various asset classes including equities, futures, options, and currencies.

Requirements

- Up to 2 years of experience in developing and implementing high-frequency trading strategies in a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or financial institution.
- Proficiency in C++11 and basic understanding of scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Basic understanding of Linux-based operating systems.
- Understanding of financial markets, trading mechanics, and market microstructure.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and quantitative research methodologies.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think clearly under pressure.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to algorithmic trading activities.
