Insurance Modeling Specialist

This is a critical role in our organization's modeling initiatives. As an Insurance Modeling Specialist, you will be working on developing, maintaining, and optimizing models in VP/MS (Variable Product Modeling System), specifically within the insurance or actuarial domain.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VP/MS modeling and a strong understanding of life insurance, annuities, or financial products. You will work closely with business analysts, actuaries, and developers to translate business rules into VPMS logic, debug and test models to ensure accuracy and performance, create and maintain documentation for developed models, and support deployment and version control of VPMS models in a production environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and optimizing models in VP/MS
  • Collaborating with business analysts, actuaries, and developers to translate business rules into VPMS logic
  • Debugging and testing models to ensure accuracy and performance
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for developed models
  • Supporting deployment and version control of VPMS models in a production environment

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with VP/MS modeling
  • Strong understanding of life insurance, annuities, or financial products
  • Ability to write, maintain, and debug VP/MS scripts and business rules
  • Familiarity with integration of VPMS with other platforms or systems
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder collaboration
