Character Animator

We're looking for a skilled Character Animator to bring our stories to life

Job Description:

As a Character Animator, you'll be responsible for animating 2D characters, including faces and bodies, for short-format cinematic reels. You'll work from given sketches to create expressive character movements, animate dialogues, gestures, and subtle emotional beats in a soulful, cinematic style.

Responsibilities:

Animate 2D characters for short-format cinematic reels.Work from given sketches to create expressive character movements.Animate dialogues, gestures, and emotional beats in a cinematic style.Collaborate with illustrators and concept artists to preserve storytelling intent.Prepare animation assets for compositing and final edit.Iterate on feedback from the creative director and animation team.

Requirements:

  • 0-1 year of experience as a Character Animator (freshers with strong portfolios encouraged).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Animate or equivalent 2D animation tools.
  • Strong understanding of character acting, timing, and emotional expression.
  • Ability to work with various character perspectives.
  • Basic knowledge of motion principles.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expressive 2D character animation.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Background in cinematic animation or storytelling-heavy projects.
  • Experience with VFX or motion graphics.
  • Familiarity with unique themes such as mythology or astrology.
