Piping Material Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Material Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the preparation and development of piping material indices and classes.

  • Develop piping material indices and classes in accordance with process and utilities requirements.
  • Create datasheets for valves and piping specialty items.
  • Write technical purchase specifications for bulk materials and equipment.
  • Hands-on experience in handling metallic and non-metallic piping systems.
  • Perform design calculations for pipe wall thickness, branch reinforcement pads, and other piping components.
  • Thorough knowledge of international codes and standards.
  • Prepare technical material requisitions for piping bulks and valves.
  • Evaluate vendor bids and negotiate contracts.
  • Review and approve vendor documents and drawings.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in piping material engineering.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in material management software.
