Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct stress analysis and design pipe supports for pipelines and piping systems.

For each project stage, identify necessary data to perform surge analysis.

Perform surge analysis of metallic and non-metallic materials using PIPENET software.

Extract surge force from PIPENET and input it in the stress analysis, ensuring it's appropriate.

Prepare a surge analysis report that meets employer requirements.

Understand processes and analyze systems to mitigate pressure surges resulting from various events.

Conduct technical reviews of stress analysis and pipe support calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards and safe practices.

Apply all applicable static and dynamic load cases correctly in the stress analysis.

Coordinate with vendors to obtain correct pipe properties for stress analysis.

Have in-depth knowledge of design codes and standards for Pipe Stress Analysis (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ISO 14692).

Develop job execution plans and work instructions based on ITB requirements.

Estimate man-hours for projects and proposals, and allocate specific jobs to assigned engineers.

Monitor progress regularly and control project schedules, quality, and budgeted man-hours.

Interact with clients, PMCs, and vendors to resolve key issues.

Adhere to technical requirements and deliverables as per ITB/contract.

Review vendor data and drawings to ensure conformity to ITB requirements.

Initiate Value Engineering solutions and implement them in consultation with other disciplines.
