Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-performance AI-enabled products that fully utilize the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) and other recent developments in foundation models.
  • Design and implement efficient Search and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems: data indexing, ranking, query processing.
  • Build evaluation frameworks for agent, RAG, and LLM performance: we take a polyglot approach to working with LLMs with a strong preference for getting workloads working on open-source models.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in Software Engineering or end-to-end Data Science. Proficient in Python and data-oriented algorithms.
  • Strong background in either distributed data systems or machine learning engineering. Experience with distributed computing frameworks like Ray is a plus.
  • Proven ability to experiment with new techniques and deliver robust production code. We work mostly in Python, with emerging technologies including LlamaIndex and LangChain in our RAG stack, as well as Ray, Postgres, Iceberg, Google Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes/Helm.
  • Recent demonstrated experience in building agents, training and evaluating emerging foundation LLMs, building RAG systems, and planet-scale information retrieval systems, or working with vector databases.
