Job Description

As a seasoned road safety professional, you will lead the development and implementation of evidence-based strategies to reduce traffic fatalities and enhance roadway safety across the state.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing effective urban mobility programs, with expertise in transportation planning, infrastructure design, data analysis, capacity building, community engagement, enforcement and monitoring, interdepartmental coordination, and technology and innovation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive road safety policies and action plans.
  • Providing technical assistance to government agencies, urban and rural authorities, law enforcement agencies, consultants, and community groups.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and prioritize road safety interventions.

Key qualifications include:

  • A master's degree in a relevant field (transportation planning/engineering, urban planning/design, public policy, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mobility and/or road safety in India.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful urban mobility programs.
  • Strong understanding of Indian policies, laws and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in road infrastructure design, traffic engineering, and safety audit methodologies.
  • Proficiency in analyzing accident/casualty data, GIS tools, and preparing technical reports.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Leadership and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management capabilities.
