About the Role

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for attending to field issues and providing solutions for semiconductor capital equipment. You will work closely with customers and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical response and field problems resolution.
  • Log all jobs and associated details, including problem resolution with Field aware.
  • Serve as a front-end/Tier 3 support.
  • Engage key stakeholders effectively and manage customer requests.
  • Familiarity with complex electro-mechanical technical functions and activities such as test, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Drive reliability data analysis from the field to Engineering through field FMEA analysis.
Requirements
  • Four-year degree and two to five years prior work as Technical Support Engineer in a capital equipment/precision machine tool manufacturing setup. Semiconductor experience is desirable.
  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting for the whole system, ability to understand drawings, BOM, and effectively communicate technical problems in the field to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Experience in field service and technical support for precision machine tools with mechanical, electrical & electronic systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
