IT Infrastructure Project Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead our infrastructure projects across networking, servers, storage, and cloud. As a seasoned professional, you will design scalable and secure infrastructure solutions, evaluate and implement new technologies to improve performance and reduce costs.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field and 10-12 years of experience in IT infrastructure, including 2-3 years in technical leadership role. Strong problem-solving skills, analysis skills, effective communication skills, ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, strong documentation and process adherence are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Scalable Solutions: Design scalable and secure infrastructure solutions for our organization.
  • Implement New Technologies: Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Lead Projects: Lead infrastructure projects across networking, servers, storage, and cloud.
  • Serve as SME: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Windows/Linux environments, virtualization, and backup/recovery systems.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship to infrastructure engineers and support teams.
  • High Availability: Ensure high availability of core infrastructure services including compute, storage, and network.
  • Configuration Standards: Define and enforce configuration standards, patching cycles, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Incident Resolution: Oversee incident and problem resolution for infrastructure issues.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with application, security, and network teams on integrated solutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with IT policies, regulatory standards and audit controls.
  • Infrastructure Upgrades: Plan, coordinate, and execute infrastructure upgrades and migration initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10-12 years of experience in IT infrastructure, including 2-3 years in technical leadership role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analysis skills.
  • Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong documentation and process adherence.
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Hyper-V Cloud: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs Storage & Backup: SAN/NAS, Veeam, NetBackup, or Commvault Automation/Scripting: PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
