Marine Underwriter Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Cargo underwriter to join our team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in managing referrals, evaluating risks, and ensuring the overall profitability, sustainability, and growth of our marine portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Managing referrals for Marine Cargo underwriting and evaluating them based on prudent underwriting practice and adherence to Company philosophy.">
  • Managing the overall Marine portfolio towards profitability, sustainability, and growth.">
  • Conducting data analytics on the Marine Book to identify various segments and their performance.">
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance to Audit and IRDA norms and guidelines.">

Additionally, the successful candidate will work closely with regional underwriters, Sales teams, and other locations to ensure seamless service and development. Regular visits to major Intermediaries/Brokers/ Clients and Branches will also be required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Marine Cargo Underwriting.">
  • FIII or similar certificates from national or international bodies are preferred.">
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint.">
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.">
  • Bachelor's Degree.">
