Clinical Documentation Specialist

Our ideal candidate is a skilled Medical Scribe Manager with experience in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to record visitation notes into patient charts, while demonstrating an understanding of the nuances between multiple providers in real-time.
Responsibilities include:
- Transcription Services: Reviewing physician dictation and transcribing clinical notes into EMR/Billing systems.
- Medical Record Preparation: Preparing and assembling medical record documentation/charts for physicians.
- Compliance: Ensuring medical record compliance by self-documentation attestation.
- Patient History Update: Updating patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient's chart.
- Documentation Management: Preparing and sending all documentation to physicians for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures.
- Lab Results Monitoring: Monitoring the duration of basic lab results and screening procedures.
- Policy Compliance: Complying with hospital and medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA and Joint Commission.
- Administrative Support: Performing other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
- Coding and Sequencing: Assigning codes to diagnoses and procedures, using ICD (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes.
- Code Accuracy: Ensuring codes are accurate and sequenced correctly in accordance with government and insurance regulations.
