Job Title: Cloud Security Architect

At our company, we are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Security Architect to join our dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and architecture, coupled with expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing AWS services.

As a Cloud Security Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based solutions to meet the evolving needs of the organization and clients. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain secure cloud environments using AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others.

We are seeking an experienced candidate who has a strong focus on security best practices, compliance standards, and networking concepts. You must have hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems are also essential. Additionally, excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are required.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing secure cloud architectures using AWS services
• Developing and maintaining cloud security policies and procedures
• Collaborating with cloud architects and developers to create security solutions for cloud environments
• Monitoring cloud environments for suspicious activities and threats using tools like SIEM systems
• Implementing security governance policies and maintaining audit logs for regulatory requirements
• Automating cloud security processes using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible
• Building custom Terraform modules to provision cloud infrastructure and maintain them for enhancements with the latest versions
• Securing and encrypting data by providing secret management solutions with versioning enabled
• Building backup solutions for running applications' downtime and maintaining a parallel disaster recovery environment in the backend
• Working with the data-based application migration teams for strategically and securely moving data from On-premises data centers to the cloud storage within an isolated environment
• Remediate findings from the cybersecurity tools used for Cloud-Native Application Security and implementing resource/cloud services tagging strategies by enforcing compliance standards
• Experience performing AWS operations within these areas: Threat Detection, Threat Prevention, Incident Mgmt, Cloud Specific Technologies, Control Tower and Service Control Policies, AWS Security tools (AWS IAM, Detective, Inspector, Security Hub, etc)

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards in cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus
