Mechanical Engineer Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to design and develop innovative mechanical systems and components utilizing cutting-edge technologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and test mechanical systems and components using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Conduct research and development to improve existing products and services, identifying areas for innovation and process improvement.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to ensure timely completion.
  • Support the transition of projects from development to production, ensuring seamless handovers and minimal disruption.

Requirements:

  • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering, including machine design and mechanics.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools, including Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience of delivering projects on time and to budget.
  • Ability to conduct research and development, identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with relevant work experience.
