Job Overview

The role involves leading and mentoring a team of developers to drive the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of applications in the TPF environment.

This position requires a strong understanding of TPFDF and IBM Toolkit/Dubugger, with experience in building software within the Airline business.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training in the computer systems development field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of TPF application experience with a good working knowledge of the structure of a Passenger Name Record (PNR).
  • Familiarity with teletype processing and ability to understand and code using TPFDF database structures.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, technology, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform business and functional requirements into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior developers, ensuring effective collaboration and efficient task completion.

Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain software for the z/TPF operating system, leveraging expertise in TPFDF and IBM Toolkit/Dubugger.

Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to define their requirements, translate needs into business and technical documents, and maximize customer satisfaction.

Solution Development: Transform business and functional requirements into technical solutions, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
