Subject Matter Expert

This is a managerial and support role responsible for overseeing the development of quality questions, managing question banks, and working closely with subject matter experts and other teams as per project requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops high-quality questions for assessments in various domains.
  • Creates engaging content, including multiple-choice questions in English and other languages.
  • Manages question banks by structuring and designing them, setting quality standards for writing and review in respective domains.
  • Tracks inventory levels and maintains optimum levels of item availability in assigned non-STEM domains/subjects.
  • Manages subject matter experts by defining selection criteria and strategy, monitoring performance quality, and training SME pools in different domains/subjects.
  • Collaborates with SMEs to develop test materials.
  • Designs tests in areas of expertise and coordinates with SMEs to finalize test designs in other domains/subjects.
  • Supports internal stakeholders to fulfill requirements for test items and question sets.
  • Assists lead subject administrators in delivering projects and meeting organizational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Subject matter expertise in school subjects up to the 12th level, aligned with NCERT syllabi.
  • Understanding of the country's education system and NCERT/CBSE/Boards.
  • Experience in the education sector related to assessment and evaluation, including test design, blueprinting, and question development.
  • Strong command over English, both written and spoken.
  • Good command over spoken Hindi.
