Job Opportunity

The role of a Network Support Engineer encompasses providing expert technical assistance to users. The position requires an in-depth understanding of enterprise networking and smart home technology.

Key responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for users, meeting with each individual to develop a personalized action plan that addresses their issue and provides context on its origin and impact.

The engineer must obtain all necessary background information, qualify the nature of each support interaction, and prioritize requests based on severity and brand liability.

Responsibilities also include responding to users efficiently and insightfully, conducting hands-on testing with provided equipment, and staying up-to-date on the latest client products and features.

Required skills include proficiency in written and verbal English, familiarity with client products, and knowledge of IP addresses, DHCP, VLANs, DNS, PoE, wireless communication, devices, and WiFi standards.

Preferred skills include effective judgment and prioritization, flexibility to work varied schedules, comfort working in dynamic environments, and ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical users.

Educational requirements include a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
