Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Systems Expert to join our team.

About the Role:

The Database Systems Expert will be responsible for overseeing the administration and maintenance of database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This includes technical guidance and support to development teams for database-related tasks, monitoring database performance, and implementing tuning strategies to optimize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Familiarity with DB2 databases, specifically Version 10.1 till 11.5, including data encryption at rest and in motion, data partitioning feature, Q-Replication, and HADR environment.
  2. Hands-on experience with L3 backup, restore, and replication.
  3. Administration and maintenance of database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  4. Technical guidance and support to development teams for database-related tasks.
  5. Monitoring database performance and implementing tuning strategies to optimize efficiency.
  6. Developing and enforcing database policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance.
  7. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  8. Regular database backups and recovery operations to safeguard data.
  9. Implementation and management of disaster recovery plans for database systems.
