Job Summary

The position of Financial Analyst requires a professional with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. The individual will be responsible for managing all monthly financial accounting aspects of designated legal entities in the APAC region.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate cost recognition for local and US reporting needs.
  • Set up and input bank transactions into the ledger as journals.
  • Produce daily cash reports for all APAC businesses.
  • Review daily cash requirements for APAC entities to ensure adequate funding arrangements.
  • Setup and post monthly journals, including depreciation, and update supporting spreadsheets.
  • Carry out treasury functions, including making payments and settling interco invoices, to maintain optimal cash levels in local bank accounts.
  • Prepare trial balances for relevant countries to meet month-end close deadlines for US reporting.
  • Provide management information for UK and local needs as required.
  • Conduct P&L reviews, flux analysis, and contribute to cost control efforts as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager, local advisors, and other team members to ensure timely year-end audit, statutory accounts, and tax returns.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations of control accounts, bank accounts, and asset, debtor, and creditor accounts based on risk category.
  • Liaise with other Finance team members within the APAC region and overseas to maintain account integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with Group Finance policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a key finance contact for operational managers and local employees of relevant countries.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • Should have 1-2+ years' experience working for a multinational corporation with regional accounting responsibilities.
  • Experience with accounting systems, preferably Oracle, reporting, and reconciliation requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Intermediate-level Excel skills, with Hyperion experience desirable.
  • Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients across countries.
  • Excellent written and oral English capabilities.
