Field Quality Team Manager

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Field Quality Team Manager at Synedyne Systems. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take their career to the next level in the field of quality assurance.
About the RoleIn this position, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to track and monitor field defects, presenting findings to customers and management, and implementing effective countermeasures. You will also be responsible for ensuring the field team has the necessary product knowledge and competence to analyze failures and implement solutions.
Responsibilities- Team Management: Set clear objectives and KPIs for the team, assess competence, and establish processes for tracking and monitoring failures and analysis.
- Field Failures and Warranty Concerns: Record, monitor, and analyze field failures and warranty concerns for Synedyne products, working with cross-functional teams as needed.
- Technical Expertise: Diagnose, troubleshoot, analyze, and report product issues, identify root causes, and submit analysis reports within targeted timeframes.
- Communication: Effectively communicate technical information to customers, escalate technical issues to engineering when necessary, and prepare 8D reports and failure analysis reports according to Synedyne standards.
- Field Visits: Conduct field visits for analysis, and maintain test and measurement instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, microscopes, debuggers, network analyzers, and specialized test equipment.
- Ticket Creation and Closure: Create, update, and close tickets related to field failures and warranty concerns.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience in leading field quality activities for automotive or related products, preferably mechatronics products.
- Systematic analysis skills for product failures.
- Ability to prepare reports and effectively communicate with customers.
- Knowledge of system understanding, system testing, project management, Pareto analysis, conflict management, 4M change management, systematic failure investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Test and measurement instruments, basics of electrical and electronic systems, and electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, inductors, relays, sensors, ICs.
Prior experience with reliability engineering and failure prediction, as well as product lifecycle management, is highly desirable.
