At ThreatXIntel, we are looking for a seasoned Freelance SOC Analyst to join our team of experts in cyber security. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in helping us maintain the highest level of security posture across our enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) environments with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate threats in real time. A proven track record of working with SIEM tools, particularly IBM QRadar and Microsoft Sentinel, is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, analyze, and investigate security alerts using advanced correlation rules and dashboards to ensure proactive threat detection.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement incident response playbooks and provide detailed reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and security posture improvements.
  • Conduct log analysis from multiple sources including firewalls, servers, endpoints, applications, and cloud platforms to identify potential security risks.
  • Develop and fine-tune correlation rules, alerts, and dashboards to enhance detection capabilities and improve overall security posture.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience working in a SOC environment with exposure to incident detection and response.
  • Strong expertise in log analysis, SIEM tuning, and security event correlation.
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence, MITRE ATT&CK framework, and incident response procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to work effectively with remote teams.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, Splunk, Microsoft Security Operations Analyst (SC-200).
  • Knowledge of cloud security fundamentals, preferably with Azure or AWS experience.
