Job Title: Senior Contracts Manager

Bechtel is seeking a highly experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our team in Mumbai. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing and performing all activities associated with the formation, tendering, award, and administration of engineering, design/build, and construction subcontracts packages for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of contracts personnel to ensure the successful execution of contracts and projects.
  • Develop and implement contracts strategies to meet project objectives and ensure compliance with Bechtel's contracts procedures.
  • Prepare and coordinate contracts inputs for proposals, including contract assignment schedules, division of responsibility matrices, and procedures.
  • Assure that project contracting strategy is consistent with Bechtel Directives, Management Instructions, and Contracts Procedures.
  • Coordinate contracts execution plan with engineering and construction plans and start-up commissioning and operations.
  • Monitor and manage contract claims and disputes, and recommend appropriate trade-offs.
  • Indoctrinate newly assigned contracts personnel to the requirements and procedures of the corporate, global business unit, project, and client.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, quantity surveying, law, or engineering from a reputable university.
  • 15+ years of commercial or contracts management experience in engineering, design/build, and construction contracts in the energy sector (petrochemical, oil, and gas).
  • Experience and completion of courses in pricing, contract law, contract drafting, contract administration, and negotiation of change orders, effective correspondence, planning, and scheduling.
