Purpose and Key Objectives

As a pivotal member of our team, the Assistant Manager plays a critical role in driving innovation and excellence in product development. This position requires a skilled professional to lead on the execution and development of new formulations, identifying opportunities to improve existing products and develop new ones.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing R&D plans and experimental designs using quality by design (QBD) principles
  • Leading lab scale-up/optimization and pilot batches
  • Liaising with technology transfer teams and production teams to ensure seamless technology transfer
  • Optimizing existing product performance by researching active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) characteristics and finished products

This role demands strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A strong background in formulation development, particularly in creating solid and liquid dosage forms for regulated markets
