Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional UAV Design Engineer to lead and contribute to the development of innovative aircraft designs.

  • Assume responsibility for conceptualizing, designing, and detailing UAV airframes and sub-systems.
  • Conduct thorough aerodynamic analysis and optimization of UAV configurations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Design and develop structural components and assemblies utilizing advanced composite and lightweight materials.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings to facilitate production.
  • Collaborate closely with electronics, propulsion, and software teams to guarantee seamless system integration.
  • Perform structural and thermal analysis (FEA, CFD) to validate design performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in UAV prototyping, assembly, ground testing, and flight trials to refine designs and meet project objectives.
  • Document design processes, BOMs, and support regulatory compliance for airworthiness to maintain certification.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in UAV or aircraft design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and structural design principles.
  • Experience with composite materials and UAV fabrication techniques is highly desirable.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience designing VTOL, hybrid, or long-endurance UAV platforms.
  • Familiarity with autopilot systems and avionics integration is advantageous.
  • Exposure to regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of electric propulsion systems and battery technologies.
