Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team at Applicantz. As a key member of our development team, you will play a vital role in the design, development, and maintenance of our complex enterprise platform.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong expertise in software development, particularly in React.js, Node.js, and related technologies. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and driving technical innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable software components using React.js, Node.js, and other relevant technologies.
  • Collaborate with our development team to identify and prioritize project requirements, estimate task efforts, and suggest improvements to user interface and experience.
  • Develop and maintain shared libraries, APIs, and tools to ensure consistency and efficiency across our platform.
  • Work closely with our QA team to ensure high-quality testing and validation of developed features.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to the growth and improvement of our engineering practices.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in full-stack software development, with a focus on React.js, Node.js, and related technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript (ES6), HTML, CSS, and CSS preprocessors like LESS and SASS.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, concurrency, file systems, and databases.
  • Experience with GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and server-side programming frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of web accessibility, SEO standards, and responsive design principles.
  • Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL and Postgres.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks like Jest and Enzyme, as well as source control management tools like Git.
  • A strong understanding of agile development methodologies and experience working in collaborative teams.
  • Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
