At UnitedHealth Group, we're committed to helping people live healthier lives and making the health system work better for everyone. As a Quality Engineering Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with development, DevOps, and operations teams to develop and document test code to ensure applications meet business and technical requirements.
  • Consult with software engineering teams to leverage DevSecOps, test-driven development, and test automation best practices.
  • Contribute to the review of QA standards, procedures, tools, and processes.
  • Maintain automated regression suites to ensure compliance with changing requirements and features.
  • Promote shift-left testing methodology and bring functional and non-functional testing earlier in the development process.
  • Provide management updates, status reporting, and dashboards from a quality perspective.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in all types of testing, including unit, integration, system, sanity, smoke, regression, acceptance, performance, load, stress, volume, security, and reliability/resiliency.
  • Experience with enterprise-level test automation tools and frameworks, including open source and commercial products.
  • Prior experience leading a team of SDET professionals in a large organization.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Cucumber, Groovy, Selenium, Soap UI Pro, JMeter, and LoadRunner.
  • Experience working in an off-shore/on-shore model.
  • Experience implementing quality engineering practices in a DevSecOps model.
  • Excellent understanding of SDLC and Agile methodology.
  • Proficiency in creating test strategies for large digital transformation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DevOps engineering background using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Prior application development experience, particularly with Java SpringBoot microservices.
  • Experience using JIRA, Rally, and/or Confluence.
