Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Infrastructure Architect to join our team at Fulcrum Digital. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing all aspects of Production Environments for Big Data Platforms.

Your primary focus will be on defining strategies for Application Performance Monitoring and Optimization in the production environment. You will respond to incidents, improvise platform changes based on feedback, and measure the reduction of incidents over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Environment Management: Plan, manage, and oversee all aspects of Production Environments for Big Data Platforms.
  • Application Performance Monitoring: Define strategies for monitoring and optimizing application performance in the production environment.
  • Incident Response: Respond to incidents, improvise platform changes based on feedback, and measure the reduction of incidents over time.
  • Batch Production Scheduling: Ensure accurate and timely batch production scheduling and processes.
  • Query Execution: Create and execute queries to big data platforms and relational data tables to identify process issues or perform mass updates.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Experience in Linux, ITSM/ITIL, and Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Nifi, Impala).
  • Production System Experience: 2+ years of experience running Big Data production systems.
  • CICD Tools: Good knowledge of industry-standard CICD tools like Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven.
  • SQL/Oracle Fundamentals: Solid grasp of SQL or Oracle fundamentals.
  • Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting, pipeline management, and software design.

The ideal candidate will have a systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, and a sense of ownership and drive. They should be able to help debug and optimize code, automate routine tasks, and support multiple stakeholders.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
