Job Overview:

The Staff Accountant role is a vital component of our accounting team responsible for producing timely and accurate financial statements.

  • This position assists in bank, merchant, and credit card reconciliations, as well as other critical accounting functions.
  • Assigned duties will contribute to the overall accounting process, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

Ambitions & Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Bank Reconciliation: Review and validate transaction activity to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Credit Card Reconciliation: Verify and match transactions against billing statements to detect discrepancies.
  • Merchant Fee Statement Reconciliation: Compare merchant fee invoices against payment processor records to identify any discrepancies or missing payments.
  • Third-Party Payment Processor Reconciliation: Analyze and reconcile third-party payment processor statements to guarantee complete and accurate financial reporting.
  • Filing and Recording Documents: Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for receipts, invoices, and supporting documents.
  • Additional Duties: Perform various tasks assigned by management, such as data entry, record keeping, or special projects.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Field
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting or relevant field
  • Education or coursework may be accepted in place of professional experience
  • QuickBooks experience preferred

Work Schedule:

  • This is a remote position aligned to USA working hours
