Cloud Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our IT team.

This role focuses on ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our cloud environments.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and backup services.
  • Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Implement and manage governance solutions, including role-based access control (RBAC) and resource policies.
  • Perform regular health checks and security assessments of cloud environments, identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand and meet their infrastructure needs, providing guidance on best practices for using cloud services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using tools like PowerShell or Azure CLI.
  • Deploy and configure cloud IaaS and PaaS services including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and databases.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing, including experience with cloud APIs, DevOps, Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, Storage, IAM, Virtual Networks, Virtual machines, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Front Door, and Entra ID.
