Position Overview\

The primary objective of this role is to contribute to the enhancement of teacher capacity-building and implementation of state-led initiatives focused on foundational literacy and numeracy.

  • Contribute to the design, adaptation, and contextualization of training modules for teachers, monitoring cadres, and key education functionaries.
  • Integrate evidence-based practices and local context into training materials to enhance teacher effectiveness in foundational literacy and numeracy.
  • Support in the development of session plans, training modules, facilitation guides, and digital/print resources to strengthen classroom practices.

This involves close coordination with training experts, government stakeholders, and technical partners to ensure robust planning, monitoring, and system strengthening.

\About the Project\

A collaborative project between Room to Read and the Jharkhand Education Project Council aims to establish a State Project Management Unit (SPMU) to enhance the quality education ecosystem in Jharkhand over a five-year period.

  • Design and implement initiatives aligned with the state's FLN Mission and other quality education interventions at scale across Jharkhand.
  • Drive academic excellence, system strengthening, teacher development, data-based decision making, and community engagement across all districts.

  • Integrating evidence-based practices and innovative pedagogy into training materials.
  • Supporting the development of session plans, training modules, facilitation guides, and digital/print resources.
  • Collaborating with subject experts, training partners, and government counterparts to ensure quality and standardization of training content.
  • Continuously reviewing and refining training modules based on field implementation feedback and evolving state priorities.
