Job Overview
A senior data engineer is required to lead the data engineering team in setting up a cloud-based data lake and implementing standardized data models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build pipelines to integrate various internal and external data sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source data and make it available for downstream consumption.
  • Work with the team to design effective solutions that meet business needs.

Requirements
  • Team player experience.
  • Excellent problem analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in Azure Databricks and at least one cloud infrastructure provider (Azure/AWS).
  • NOSQL databases knowledge, particularly Cosmos DB and RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of Big Data ETL processing tools, data modeling, and data mapping.

Preferred Skills
  • Hive and Hadoop file formats (Avro / Parquet / ORC) expertise.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (shell / bash).
  • Experience with multiple data sources including relational databases and NoSQL/document databases.
  • CI/CD tool understanding like Jenkins, JIRA, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Bamboo, and Azure Dev-ops.
